David Bowie mindes i Grenaa

David Bowie remembered in Grenaa. On 8 January 2027, David Bowie would have turned 80 years old.

Pavillonen marks this with a very special Bowie evening, where the audience is invited on a fascinating journey through one of music history's most pioneering, transformative and significant careers. David Bowie was never just one thing.

He was a musical pioneer, style icon, actor, provocateur and artistic chameleon. From the early years and breakthrough as Ziggy Stardust through Heroes, Let's Dance and a string of immortal hits to his final, powerful works The Next Day, Lazarus and the deeply moving Blackstar.

This evening author and Bowie expert Jan Poulsen tells the story of the man behind the many masks and characters. Jan Poulsen has met David Bowie several times and takes the audience deep into the story of an artist who over more than five decades constantly reinvented himself -- and at the same time left an indelible mark on music and popular culture.

Along the way the story is seasoned with selected Bowie songs that bring the music and the many eras to life. The lecture is also the perfect prelude to Pavillonen's major David Bowie tribute concert later in January.

Here you get the story, the music and the background to one of the greatest artists ever -- and perhaps a whole new understanding of the songs you thought you knew. An evening for all Bowie fans -- and for anyone who wants to experience the story of the artist who never stopped challenging, changing and fascinating.
