LIV I FORSAMLINGSHUSENE - Pastor Peter spiller Cohen og Cash

Pastor Peter Spills Cohen and Cash Experience an evening with a generous selection of songs written by Leonard Cohen and Johnny Cash. Since the mid-nineties, Peter Danielsen has performed across the country with his personal and passionate versions of Leonard Cohen's and Johnny Cash's songs.

During his theology studies, he has researched Leonard Cohen's authorship, and he knows hundreds of songs and poems by heart. The concert also features anecdotes and poetry from both artists' lives.

Leonard Cohen described himself as a Jew who loved Jesus, and was moreover deeply engaged with Buddhism and modern literature. Christianity held similarly great significance in Johnny Cash's life.

Cohen and Cash liked to dress in black, but their songs and poems are full of light, love and compassion. Peter Danielsen, who is a vicar in Fornæs Pastorate on Djursland, weaves together the depth of music with smiles and laughter.

Humour and seriousness go really well together – unlike humour and self-importance. Look forward to a magnificent experience with songs from the two men in black, who like to bring light into the autumn darkness.
