About the event

From the organiser, as published on Ticketmaster.

Mekdes Trio - Acoustic Tour Mekdes started 2026 with the album THE BOY I AM - a work that marks his most personal musical expression to date. On stage with him are Andres Skovbjerg and Phillip Leonhard, in an acoustic setup.

Mekdes is an uncompromising independent artist with full artistic control. He releases his music himself, something that also shines through in his work as a musician and songwriter.

The album stems from three years of intense personal development and a deliberate process of challenging his own self-image and the norms he previously felt restricted by. On the title of the new album, Mekdes states: "The album title means a lot to me, because it was the first time I broke through the shell to the realisation of my self-image - to myself.

It started a series of new reflections in me and has made me incredibly curious about myself. The work with the album and especially the thoughts I have been in have made me quite free and reminded me that you can be exactly who you want to be, when you want to be it. - I have opened the door to a new side of myself." With the album THE BOY I AM, Mekdes builds on his musical career and development and once again proves that he has one of the country's most iconic and distinctive voices - and that he is an extremely talented producer and songwriter.

One of the things Mekdes looks forward to is meeting the audience again. "I look forward to spreading good energy and getting it back. My audience is so loving, and it is something very special to experience their energy in real life." The live format will be musically and emotionally focused. "We are going through all the feelings.

I hope most of all that people get a confidence boost. In 2020 Mekdes was nominated for a DMA for newcomer live act of the year, and in 2022 Mekdes was once again nominated for a DMA for producer of the year for his debut album.

In 2021 Mekdes was awarded the prestigious P3 Gold Talent prize. In 2022 Mekdes released his debut album "Greedy" In 2023 URO and Mekdes released the single "Feels Good",
