Electric Guitars -- long-lasting guitar hero music from the top shelf ... It's the boys' Christmas party and the girls' 'girls night out'.

It's the young guitarists, the adult rock'n'rollers and the couples who just want a festive evening out. Neither the music nor the audience has an age, but in return the uncompromising love of guitar rock is intact and constantly growing.

The name is Electric Guitars, and 2026 brings both a new album and a visit to Pavillonen. The love of guitar rock is something Søren Andersen and Mika Vandborg have always shared.

And what started as a fun 'con amor' project more than a decade ago has become an institution in Danish music. 'What Are We Waiting For' is the name of the band's next album, and their steadily growing audience knows well what awaits them ... The band's CV speaks for itself.

Five albums, more than 500 concerts, countless TV and radio appearances, tours with Sanne Salomonsen and shows with Jesper Binzer. The list is long when it comes to Electric Guitars, and the gentlemen Søren Andersen and Mika Vandborg are far from finished.

Quite the opposite, the already busy calendar is packed with concerts, and a new album will soon see the light of day. Because although both Andersen and Vandborg have plenty of other musical projects to look after, there MUST be room for their shared brainchild, whose name rhymes with exactly what it is: Authentic guitar music. "It is the ultimate celebration of guitar music in all genres and across many decades," say the frontmen themselves, who in their own words are deeply dependent on meeting their 'brothers and sisters' at the country's venues.

With the usual well-playing A-team and a new album in their back pocket, a huge love of many generations' guitar heroes -- and of the present day. Because although it may all have started with Jimi Hendrix and Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple), it doesn't end with them. "We make a big effort to constantly reinvent ourselves.
