Concerts and live music in Nashville: the Ryman, the Opry and Broadway
The Ryman Auditorium (116 Rep. John Lewis Way North, ryman.com), the 1892 tabernacle with the pews, is the best-sounding room in American music, and everyone plays it; the Grand Ole Opry at Opryland runs its radio show several nights a week. Lower Broadway’s honky-tonks, Tootsie’s, Robert’s, Layla’s, have free live bands all day; the Basement East and Exit/In take the touring rock, the Bluebird Café the songwriters in the round (book weeks ahead).
