About the event
From the organiser, as published on Ticketmaster.
SUNDAY CORNER Talk with Poul Nyrup Rasmussen -- "he will do it a bit better" Meet former Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen in an engaging and forward-looking conversation with journalist and author Keld Broksø. Even after a long political career, Nyrup is still driven by the desire to make a difference.
Today he is involved in, among other things, Headspace, which he is founder and patron of -- and which also makes a concrete difference for young people here in Hvidovre. But what drives him today?
How do you convert political experience into action when top positions are behind you? And how do you continue to be of use -- even as you get older?
The conversation revolves around: Life before, during and after the prime ministerial period (1993--2001) How political capital can be converted into concrete projects Work with the Lone Dybkjær Foundation and efforts for women's education -- including in Afghanistan The state of democracy today: declining engagement, fear of debate and the significance of social media How we get more -- especially young people -- to engage Life's "ups & downs" and what we can learn from them Based on both personal experiences and current social issues, it will be a conversation that looks both back and forward. Sunday Corner is as always characterised by edge, insight and humour -- and there will be an opportunity to ask questions from the floor.
