About the event
From the organiser, as published on Ticketmaster.
CLASSICAL TIME -- with music educator and violinist Maj Kullberg Do you remember Classical Time? A free space for curiosity, conversation and experiences.
In Classical Time we invite a guest from the world of classical music to present one of their favourite albums. Through stories and selected musical examples, the guest opens the door to their personal musical universe and tells why this particular recording made such a special impression.
Along the way we have a break with coffee and classical time cake at the café tables. Here there is time to talk about the music and share experiences with the other participants, before the evening continues with a joint conversation about the music.
This evening we are visited by music educator and violinist Maj Kullberg, who takes the audience into the Emerson String Quartet's recording of Beethoven's string quartets. Maj Kullberg is orchestra director for Ensemble Storstrøm and a trained violinist.
She has also studied under the Emerson String Quartet, which gives her very special insight into the world-renowned quartet's work. No prior knowledge is required to participate -- only the desire to listen.
Classical Time is presented in collaboration between Teaterbygningen and Køge Classical.
Practical: Doors open at 18.30.
