About the event
From the organiser, as published on Ticketmaster.
He is the only Dane ever crowned 'Europe's best' footballer - winner of the Ballon d'Or. Allan Simonsen has never before told his story from the stage - he does so now.
A unique insight into a fantastic career at European top level. Allan talks about his glorious time at, among others, Vejle, Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Barcelona as well as with the national team.
There are dramas and happy stories, personal ups and downs - we get completely under the skin of this little football jewel, who took the whole world by storm and beat established stars like Kevin Keegan and Michel Platini when he won the title of Europe's best in 1977. Allan has his own personal story from hell to heaven in German football, from greatness at FC Barcelona and the underlying dramas in the Catalan capital.
From his time with the national team, where he became Sepp Piontek's special favourite. And of course not least from his time at his home club in Vejle.
His national team career includes two goals in his debut match, an Olympic adventure, the goal at Wembley that paved the way for Denmark's first final tournament and the painful exit at Euro 1984 in France. For the first time on a stage with his own story - interviewed by Flemming Toft.
