A musical folk festival and tribute to the 1990s There is something to look forward to. Next autumn, the team behind "High Sun over Aarhus" will return to Hermans, and this time the focus is on the 1990s most successful year in the music industry.

So be ready for the big musical bang on 1st and 2nd October 2027, when MusicalDanmark turns up the guitars, and breaks through the sound barrier with "1991 - A tribute to the greatest music year of the 1990s". A tribute concert, which the press described as; "A worthy, wild and wonderful tribute to the year 1991".

The year 1991 was in every way an extraordinary and remarkable year. Not only was it the 1990s most successful year in the music industry.

It was also the year when rock was set free, masterpieces were created and new records and standards were set. As well as the year when legends were born whilst others died, including the legendary Queen frontman, Freddie Mercury, who died at the end of the year.

With 1991 you get the musical history of this remarkable year, told through the music, anecdotes and funny sketches. With over 30 of 1991's greatest hits from both Queen, Bryan Adams, George Michael, Elton John, U2, Prince, Metallica, R.E.M. as well as Ray Dee Ohh, Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and D.A.D. and others.

On stage, the participating singers and musicians, including Jonas Rasmussen, Morten Bytofte, Lucas Hoang, Lene Nørrelykke and others, will give it full throttle in all the big songs, so 1991 can be a fantastic evening with many opportunities for group singing, or as the press very aptly put it; "We are at a musical folk festival that both kicks open the door to the past and breathes new life into the classics".
