What to expect
Treholt is a drama show at Oslo Nye Teater, 0.6 km from the centre of Oslo. It is a good pick for a night at the theatre. If you want to make a night of it, 3 other events are on in Oslo the same day.
About the event
From the organiser, as published on Ticketmaster.
A spy musical in the grey area, based on a true story that no one has agreed on, staged by people who weren't there. A small group of idealistic musical artists venture out in search of the truth about one of Norway's most controversial men -- Arne Treholt.
Who was he, the man who was convicted of treason, but who never stopped claiming his innocence? Was he a master spy or a misunderstood idealist?
A traitor or an unorthodox peacemaker? A man with grandiose faith in his own role or just a simple diplomat caught in the storm between east and west?
In a world where facts flow and reality is manipulated, the ensemble tries to understand both him and themselves, in an explosion of satire, politics and emotion. TREHOLT is a newly written, grand production -- a musical contingency exercise in moral grey areas.
