About The Undertones
The Undertones are a rock band formed in Derry, Northern Ireland in 1974. The group's early material drew heavily from punk rock and new wave, though they later incorporated elements of rock, glam rock and post-punk. After citing soul and Motown influences for their final album, the band released thirteen singles and four studio albums between 1978 and 1983, when Feargal Sharkey announced his departure due to musical differences.
