About The Strokes
The Strokes are an American rock band from New York City that formed in 1998, maintaining the same five-piece lineup throughout their career. Led by vocalist and primary songwriter Julian Casablancas alongside guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture and drummer Fabrizio Moretti, the band became a leading force in the early-2000s garage rock and post-punk revival movements. Their distinctive indie rock sound helped define a generation of alternative music.
