About the event

From the organiser, as published on Ticketmaster.

Following acclaimed performances in Paris and Brussels, Tango Eterno comes to Antwerp. For one evening, Antwerp becomes Buenos Aires.

Created and performed by Argentine artists, Tango Eterno is a spectacular theatrical production that brings the passion, elegance and spirit of Argentina to the stage. Live music, passionate songs and breathtaking dance are woven together throughout the evening.

Acclaimed musicians, singers and dancers share the stage in a vibrant theatrical experience where each element plays an essential role. An exceptional chamber ensemble featuring the iconic bandoneon, piano and strings performs live throughout the evening, bringing to life the rich musical world of Argentine tango.

From the timeless masterpieces of Astor Piazzolla to beloved traditional tangos and contemporary Argentine works, Tango Eterno reveals the many colours of a living culture where music, song and dance are inseparable. Passionate songs tell stories of love, longing, joy and nostalgia, revealing the authentic voice of Argentina and bringing warmth, intimacy and emotion to the stage.

Dance lies at the heart of this world. From intimate embraces and elegant salon tango to dramatic stage choreography and exhilarating ensemble scenes, a succession of captivating performances reveals the many faces of tango.

Romantic, playful, sensual and fiercely passionate, each scene comes to life through distinctive choreography and costumes inspired by the rich traditions of Argentina. Enhanced by immersive video projections, the production transports audiences from the cafés and streets of Buenos Aires to the vibrant landscapes of Argentina, creating a world filled with beauty, nostalgia, passion and celebration.

More than a concert. More than a dance show.

Tango Eterno is an invitation to experience Argentina with all the senses. Hear the first notes of the bandoneon, feel the emotion of the songs, watch the dancers glide across the stage, and let yourself be transported to Buenos Aires
