"I Survived the Zombie Apocalypse and All I Brought Was This Lousy Play" is a monologue that stems from frustration with theatrical proposals that re-traumatise testimonies of gender-based violence. The author draws on her family history to construct a horror story aimed at young audiences.

Through the aesthetic of the zombie universe—present in cinema, video games and digital platforms—the work generates a metaphor that allows for critical distance. Inspired by Mariana Enríquez and Issa López, it addresses sexual and domestic violence from an approach that seeks to reframe its everyday monstrosity.
