A two-act production, this is a show that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Mexico, especially the traditions of Day of the Dead. The work, presented at the TELÓN DE ASFALTO Theatre, introduces the audience to traditional Mexican stories through La Catrina, an iconic figure of Day of the Dead.
Spectators immerse themselves in iconic stories that explore the mysticism of Day of the Dead, including legends of Macario, Pedro Páramo and La Llorona. The work also explains the meaning behind the altar of the dead through the story of "the grandparents", all accompanied by visual elements and traditional music, folk dances performed by the BALLET DE UNAM MEXICATLALI YOLISTIC (who celebrate their 25th anniversary) poetry and pre-Hispanic dances.
This show is ideal for those who wish to celebrate Day of the Dead in a unique and fun way.
