About Gorillaz
Gorillaz is a British virtual band formed in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The project centers on four fictional members—2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs—whose universe unfolds across music videos, interviews, comic strips and short cartoons. The band's music draws on collaborations with diverse musicians and featured artists, with Albarn as the sole permanent musical contributor, blending rock and alternative rock into a distinctive multimedia experience.
