Diket is a Norwegian-Swedish folk-indie band that has become one of the most exciting new names in the Nordic region in record time. With members from projects such as Benedikt, Ævestaden and Hey Gloria, they combine Nordic folk music with modern indie aesthetics -- melancholic, detailed and unusually powerfully delivered.

The debut EP (Supertraditional, 2024) received glowing reviews and secured the band a Grammis nomination in the category Best Folk Music. Live, Diket has made an impression with distinctive and atmospheric concerts at by:Larm, VillVillVest and Folkelarm, and as support for both Lankum and Valkyrien Allstars.

Diket stands out through an expression that is both vulnerable and monumental -- a rare mix that makes them ideal for club venues, the folk music scene and indie programming. With a debut album on the way in autumn 2026, the band is building an audience that already extends far beyond the Nordic region.

The first single came out in May and gives a taste of Diket's upcoming album. The song depicts the distinctive contrast between the arrival of summer and the feeling of being an outsider -- when parks fill with life, while loneliness becomes all the harder to bear.

This spring they have played at Trondheim Jazzfest, SPOT Festival in Aalborg and Danish Cold Country Festival, and this summer Nattjazz in Bergen and Roskilde Festival await.
