Amici Friends 16.9.-25.10.2026

Art Exhibition AMICI FRIENDS Tue-Sun 12-17 Artists: Gregory de la Haba Laura Mega Rosa Mundi Hannu Palosuo Daniel Pešta Franca Pisani ROP (Tuomo Rosenlund, Pekko Orava) In 1996, 30 years ago, or as they would say in Rome, many popes ago, I had the opportunity to hold my first solo exhibition in the Capranic Arte space run by Rome's Accademia di Belle Arti. That same December, I also had my first exhibition in Helsinki.

From these two exhibitions onwards, my exhibition activities have never stopped. Dozens of my own and curated exhibitions in museums and galleries in Finland and Italy as well as around the world, participations in major international symposiums and art biennales.

I often find myself looking back and wondering what has been most important to me in these international exhibitions. Of course, getting oneself seen is always a significant opportunity, but perhaps even more meaningful has been the chance to meet at once a large group of artists coming from very different backgrounds and to be able to exchange ideas with them.

To celebrate 30 years of my career as an artist, I wanted to bring together a group of artists I have met during my career and with whom I have had genuine exchange of ideas. What unites us all is that we have met each other at international biennales around the world.

Meetings with New York-based Gregory de la Haba, Rome-based Laura Mega, Venice-based Rosa Mundi, Czech-based Daniel Pešta, Florence-based Franca Pisani, and Tampere-based artist group ROP have meant a lot to me. They have made me look at my own work with completely fresh eyes.

Through them I have grown as an artist. Hannu Palosuo Group tickets (min. 10 people) to be booked via email info@meilahdenkartano.fi Art Hall services In addition, Kahvila Maisema café and Pieni Taidekauppa Maisema shop serve in the Art Hall, which are open at the Art Hall
