About Rush
Rush is the debut studio album by Canadian rock band Rush. It was released on March 18, 1974 in Canada by Moon Records, the band's own label, before being re-released internationally by Mercury Records later that year. Recorded five years after the band's formation, it is their only album to feature original drummer John Rutsey and displays a more straightforward hard rock sound than they would come to be known for, showing the influence of early British hard rock bands, particularly Led Zeppelin and Humble Pie.
