About The Selecter
The Selecter is an English two-tone ska revival band that formed in Coventry in 1979. Emerging from the vibrant ska scene of the late seventies, the band became part of the two-tone movement, which blended ska's infectious rhythms with socially conscious lyrics. Their energetic sound and distinctive approach to the genre helped define an era of British popular music, drawing audiences who embraced both the musical innovation and the cultural message at the heart of the movement.
