Ron Carter is among the most original, prolific and influential bassists in jazz with more than 2,000 albums to his credit. Beginning his career in the 1960s with Jaki Byard and Eric Dolphy, Cannonball Adderley, and a five year stint with the Miles Davis' Quintet, Ron also performed and recorded with notables including Bill Evans, B.B.

About Ron Carter
Ron Carter is an American jazz double bassist born in 1937 whose appearances on 2,221 recording sessions make him the most-recorded jazz bassist in history. He has won three Grammy Awards and is also an accomplished cellist. Carter is well-known for playing on numerous iconic Blue Note albums in the 1960s and for anchoring trumpeter Miles Davis's "Second Great Quintet" from 1963 to 1968. His solo career spans more than 60 years.
