About Paul Heaton
Paul Heaton is an English singer-songwriter who fronted the Housemartins, the influential band that scored UK hits including the number-one single "Caravan of Love" during the 1980s. Following the group's dissolution, he co-founded the Beautiful South with the Housemartins' drummer Dave Hemingway. The Beautiful South achieved considerable success throughout the 1990s with chart-topping singles like "A Little Time" before disbanding in 2007. Heaton's songwriting has been central to both bands' distinctive sound and commercial appeal.
