About Miss Saigon

Miss Saigon is a sung-through stage musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, with lyrics by Boublil and Richard Maltby Jr. Based on Giacomo Puccini's opera Madama Butterfly, it relocates the tragic tale to 1970s Saigon during the Vietnam War, telling the story of a doomed romance between a United States Marine and a seventeen-year-old South Vietnamese bargirl. The musical explores themes of love and abandonment against the backdrop of historical conflict.

“No video cameras or recording devices.”
“St Martins Lane NCP.”
“Due to some strong language, this show is considered unsuitable for children under 12. No babes in arms. Young children are admitted but not encouraged unless the parent is confident that the child is old enough to be attentive to the performance and not a distraction for other members of the audience. Everyone must have a valid ticket and occupy a seat. Accompanying adults will be asked to remove any noisy infants.”
