About the event
From the organizer, as published on Ticketmaster.
Kodo's internationally acclaimed "One Earth" journey has moved millions worldwide, revealing the unifying, visceral power of taiko drumming. Now, Kodo returns to San Diego with LUMINANCE - a breathtaking program that combines its most iconic works with bold new creations for an unforgettable live experience.
Feel the earth-shaking force of the legendary O-daiko solo, the exhilarating drive of Yatai-bayashi, and a powerful tribute to Minnie M. Ishii's Monochrome, performed with astonishing precision, athleticism, and intensity.
From thunderous rhythm to moments of stillness and focus, Luminance is more than a performance - it is a full-body experience of sound, spirit, and spectacle.
