20 YEARS' ANNIVERSARY!! has become a Christmas tradition for many, and now the story has come to life with all the familiar and beloved characters on the theatre stage. A heartwarming pre-Christmas experience for the whole family.
This year the story is also celebrating an anniversary. It is 20 years since it was first shown on NRK television. "It is December in Svingen and Christmas preparations are in full swing.
Advent calendars are to be opened, the Christmas tree is to be lit, the choir is to sing. Everything is as it should be.
Or is it really? For Marvin, Linus's father, has as usual his own ideas about how things should be done.
Funny ideas, exciting ideas, but are they good ideas? Agnetha, Linus's mother, usually doesn't think so.
And then a new family moves into Svingen. And they come from Sletta!
Can they become friends with the children in Svingen? The boys are going on a cabin trip.
They do that every year, but this time something strange happens. And it might be strangest for Nure.
And who is to be Lucia this year? Everyone wants to be, but only one can be.
And it is not easy to agree! Akaya is going away at Christmas and Atif, who is Muslim, does not celebrate Christmas.
So how are the children to meet each other on Christmas Eve? Won't that be completely impossible?
But the children in Svingen are smart and of course they find a solution. Christmas in Svingen is like most Christmases.
Some are looking forward to it, others are not quite as much. Some things are exciting, some are nice, some are a bit tedious and a lot is fun.
