About Isabelle Beernaert Isabelle Beernaert is a leading Belgian choreographer and theatre maker, known for her powerful, emotionally charged dance performances that reach a broad audience. Trained at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, she has developed a unique signature where classical technique and contemporary influences come together.

Her work moves across the intersection of dance, music, scenography and experience, and over recent years has become a fixture in Flemish and Dutch theatres. Beyond her theatre work, she became known to a wide audience through her choreography for television programmes such as So You Think You Can Dance.

Season 2026–2027 After an intensive touring year, Isabelle Beernaert brings two special projects back to the stage. La Dame en Noir – The Reunion (5 & 6 September 2026) An exclusive and one-off revival of the iconic work La Dame en Noir.

Just two unique moments in which performers and audience come together again in a shared memory. This performance is a sensory total experience in which dance, live percussion and rhythm merge into an inspired, almost ritual experience.
