About Haken
Haken is an English progressive metal band formed in 2007 by multi-instrumentalist Richard Henshall, guitarist Matthew Marshall, and vocalist Ross Jennings. The trio conceived the idea of forming the band in 2004 but spent three years developing their instruments and songwriting before recruiting additional members. They released their debut demo, Enter the 5th Dimension, in 2008, subsequently signing with Sensory Records and launching their first studio album, Aquarius, in 2010. As of 2026, the band has released seven studio albums, two EPs, and two live albums.
