About the event
From the organiser, as published on Ticketmaster.
Be careful what you wish for at Christmas! Lena Kristin Ellingsen, Gard B.
Eidsvold, Nader Khademi and Cato Skimten Storengen ring in Christmas with a truly entertaining Christmas nightmare. The dream of a white Christmas.
It sounds undeniably romantic and heartwarming. But don't be fooled.
And whatever you do, don't bring the children along on this one. It is Christmas Eve, and an old mother waits for her two adult sons with their families.
Do they all come this year? No.
Of course they don't all come. But the sons turn up eventually.
They find it tiresome with the old woman, lame and blind as she is. Wouldn't it be best for everyone if she, well, you know.
And the moment the thought is had, there is a knock on the door. A case of vintage wine appears on the table.
A large knife finds its victim. Lies and truth will be uncovered.
Mother's past will be revealed. And we shall sing old songs again.
There will be a party and fireworks, laughter and tears, salted lamb ribs and Christmas tree and plenty of Christmas spirit when Statsteatret rings in Christmas together with Riksteatret and Nationaltheatret. In recent years Statsteatret has had great success throughout Norway with their critically acclaimed productions, in which they show how humour and playful madness can convey thought-provoking themes.
They are particularly known for their entirely personal presentation of 1000 years of Norwegian history told through ten theatre productions over ten years. In 2022 they received the Hedda Prize for.
