Christian McBride is one of the most celebrated jazz bassists of his generation, with deep roots in straight ahead jazz, but he has also collaborated across funk, soul, classical, and contemporary music. When they perform together, the chemistry tends to lean heavily into improvisation, jazz-infused Americana, rhythmic interplay storytelling through musicianship rather than just songs.
