About Beth Orton
Beth Orton is an English musician known for her distinctive "folktronica" sound, which blends folk and electronic elements. She first gained recognition in the mid-1990s through collaborations with producers and artists including William Orbit, Andrew Weatherall, Red Snapper and the Chemical Brothers. Her debut solo album, Trailer Park, was critically acclaimed, whilst subsequent releases such as Central Reservation and Daybreaker built her devoted following. After a period away from recording, during which she collaborated with guitarist Bert Jansch, Orton returned with Sugaring Season, exploring a more acoustic direction before moving back towards electronic music with later work.
