The Wedding Present is a British indie rock group formed in Leeds in 1985 by former members of the Lost Pandas. Led throughout their existence by vocalist and guitarist David Gedge, who remains the band's only constant member, they have maintained their presence in the indie rock scene for decades. The group's enduring lineup changes have seen various musicians pass through their ranks whilst Gedge has provided the creative continuity that defines their distinctive sound and artistic direction.
